Smith/Schoknecht Christmas 2008

Bryce and the girls play Puppy Bingo.

Paul and Amy ignore the children and eat cheese.

Cole unwrapped his cool castle Lego set and that was the last we heard from him all night.

Cookies for Santa

Daddy and Eliza made cookies for our friends and Santa.

Preschool Christmas Program

Friday, December 19, 2008

Eliza was a big hit at her first public performance today. It was Oglethorpe Presbyterian Preschool's annual Christmas program and the Goldfish class knocked "Jingle Bells" right out of the park! Willa stayed home with Anissa due to an unfortunate vomiting incident earlier this morning. We thought it best not to dampen the festive mood with a baby puking in the pews.

More Family Fun

We went to Purple Hippo to make some artwork. Seamus and Maggie were in their blue phase.

Grandpa Jack and Seamus reading gun magazines. It's hunting season in northern
Wisconsin. (Am I the only one who thinks that sounds like a haiku?)

Willa and big cousin Maggie

Eliza, Color Theorist

On the drive to school today, Eliza told Paul that red and blue make purple. He was very impressed with our brainiac child until this afternoon when she told him that pee and poop also make purple.

Apparently, Eliza is trilingual. She told me today, "'Uno momento, por favor' means hello in French!"

Hangin' with the Smiths

It was a typical evening with the Smiths...roasting marshmallows and passing around Willa. Oh, and Jackie and Amy were dressed alike. Perhaps we're spending a little too much time together!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thursday, November 27, 2008

Sorry we have no photos of our Turkey Day. Paul forgot the camera and Jackie was home sick with a miserable cold and pink eye (thanks, Eliza!). Paul and E. had a lovely dinner complete with crab cakes and oyster stuffing at our neighbor, Amy's, parents' house. Willa and Mommy spent the day napping and watching "The Real Housewives of Atlanta." Hope you had a great day!

Flying and Slobbering

Can you tell Willa is teething? Luckily, this is pretty much her default mood, teething or not.

Cub Fans

Daddy and Eliza both love the Cubs and Vans tennies.

Go Obama!!!!

Tuesday, November 4, 2008

Paul took the day off today so we could squeeze in some more volunteer work this morning while our nanny was here. Check out the whole "Schoknecht Obama-Support-Team" suited up in our Obama gear! Thanks to Auntie Beth for Willa's cool "Barack-a-Bye-Baby" t-shirt!! We're all heading out this afternoon to bring snacks to the people standing in long lines at the polls. Eliza has donated the rest of her Halloween candy to the cause! Fingers crossed...
