Like Eliza's "hippie chic" ensemble?

Will Convert for Dresses

Eliza just asked, "Mommy, can I have that beeeyoootiful dress?!" I told her that she probably wouldn't be getting any new dresses for a while because it was just Christmas and she got lots of new things. So she suggested, "How about for Hanukkah?" I explained that we don't celebrate Hanukkah because we're not Jewish and she said, "We could pretend..."

Jingle Bells

Practicing in the car the morning of her Christmas program. (Yes, Paul was videotaping her while driving.)

Skateboarding is not a crime.

Thursday, December 25, 2008

Eliza and Daddy took his new longboard out for a spin. Yes, Paul was skateboarding in his pajamas.

Merry Christmas!

Cousin Blake bought Willa these beautiful alphabet blocks. She wanted to say thank you!

We got Daddy this awesome new skateboard. Unfortunately, Eliza told him all about it a few days BEFORE Christmas!

Willa loves her astronaut duck from Auntie Kyle and Uncle Jeffrey. He used to have a space helmet, but Willa really, really wanted to chew on his beak, especially now that she has two new chompers on top!

Eliza thought her new robe needed accessorizing.

Mommy got a Bliss Spa gift certificate. Can't wait to use it!

Christmas Eve

After hours of wrapping, toy building and arranging, Santa was finally ready for the big reveal!

Bryce and the girls play Puppy Bingo.

Paul and Amy ignore the children and eat cheese.

Cole unwrapped his cool castle Lego set and that was the last we heard from him all night.

Cookies for Santa

Daddy and Eliza made cookies for our friends and Santa.

Preschool Christmas Program

Friday, December 19, 2008

Eliza was a big hit at her first public performance today. It was Oglethorpe Presbyterian Preschool's annual Christmas program and the Goldfish class knocked "Jingle Bells" right out of the park! Willa stayed home with Anissa due to an unfortunate vomiting incident earlier this morning. We thought it best not to dampen the festive mood with a baby puking in the pews.

More Family Fun

We went to Purple Hippo to make some artwork. Seamus and Maggie were in their blue phase.

Grandpa Jack and Seamus reading gun magazines. It's hunting season in northern
Wisconsin. (Am I the only one who thinks that sounds like a haiku?)

Willa and big cousin Maggie

Eliza, Color Theorist

On the drive to school today, Eliza told Paul that red and blue make purple. He was very impressed with our brainiac child until this afternoon when she told him that pee and poop also make purple.

Sadie, Will, Drew and Seamus decorating cupcakes

Haven, Jocelyn and Stanley (skipping the cupcake and eating frosting with a spoon...there's a boy with his priorities in order!)

Blowing out the birthday candles on a giant cupcake!

Look at our birthday girl in her fancy pajamas. Doesn't she look older?

It's always a good day for bunny ears.
