Eliza the Epicure

Friday, February 29, 2008

Eliza was at the neighbor's house today eating a bagel and asked for cream cheese. Amy said that they didn't have any cream cheese so Eliza then asked, "How about smoked salmon?"

Big Sister Practice

Saturday, February 23, 2008

Daddy and I took my dolly for a walk. We're practicing for when my baby sister arrives!

Auntie Beth's Visit and Mommy's GIANT Belly

Wednesday, February 13, 2008

Five more weeks to go and Mommy is about to explode! Here I am with Mommy and Auntie Beth who surprised us with a visit this weekend. Well, actually, Daddy knew all about it. He's so sneaky!

Daddy's in Trouble!

Auntie Beth was in town from L.A. for the weekend and took this picture of me reading the Tiffany catalog!

Pretty New Dress

Friday, February 8, 2008

I got this pretty new dress and pink leggings from Grandma Penny and Grandpa Jack today. Thank you!! Mommy thinks I look like a little scoop of sherbet! Do you like my grumpy face?

My New Big Girl Room

Check out my new big-girl bed and room! I really, really love my new room. Don't let these photos fool you, though...Mommy and Daddy tried to officially move me in a week ago and thus far, I haven't spent one night in my new room. I'm finding out that new stuff can be a little scary sometimes. Things should start getting REALLY interesting when my new sister arrives next month!

Paint everywhere!

Monday, January 28, 2008

This post is from Mommy...Sorry we've been so out of touch. We've had a house full of painters for the last week and a half. They finally finished today and it looks great! We still have work to do (replacing our hideous dining room light fixture and taking down the white track lighting among other things), but the paint alone has really made a big difference. We'll be spending the next few days getting Eliza's new big girl room (and big girl bed!) all ready and she'll be moving in this weekend. It's time to make room for new Baby S! Fingers crossed that the transition goes smoothly!!

Even more snow!

We got even more snow the weekend before last. We had a snowball fight in Cole and Audrey's backyard then came back to our house for hot chocolate and smores made in our fireplace!

Stormwatch Update

Look...the snow stuck around for a while. The kids down the block even made a teeny, tiny snowman! The neighbors said that this was the first real snow in Atlanta in 5 years.

Stormwatch 2008!

Our friends in California might not recognize this white stuff, but yes, at this very moment, it is SNOWING in Atlanta!!

Happy Birthday, Cousin Ava!

My cousin Ava is 1 year old today! I made her this beautiful sign with a little help from Mommy. Note my decorative use of scotch tape...an underutilized craft medium, as far as I'm concerned.

Junker Cousins Christmas Party

Sunday, January 6, 2008

Here are all my Junker/Hoekstra/Diebel cousins. It wasn't easy to get us all to sit still for a picture. In fact, Mommy had to be my strait jacket and my cousin Kaitlyn (who is exactly one month younger than me) got cut out of the photo altogether. Sorry Kaitlyn!

Here is my Uncle Jeff with his girlfriend, Patti, and my cousins Josie and Sarah. (My great-uncles, Sim and John are in the background.)

Miss Jamie Fulco

Thursday, January 3, 2008

I had a lot of fun playing with Baby Jamie. She's so cute and sweet! I also showed Auntie Stacy and Uncle Jim what it's like to live with a two year old. Good thing for them, they've got some time...Jamie's only nine months old!

My First Snow!

Next, we went to Auntie Stacy's house (Mommy's friend from law school) to celebrate New Year's Eve with her, Uncle Jim and their baby girl, Jamie. It snowed like crazy so Daddy and Uncle Jim went out and bought me a sled. I had so much fun in the snow!! It was a good thing Auntie Michelle brought me this old snowsuit of Maggie's!

Winter Wonderland

I went ice skating in Chicago with all my Schoknecht/Scanlan/Breckler cousins. Uncle Brad gave me a lesson. Look at my teeny, tiny ice skates! Afterwards, we had pizza with everyone at Uncle Brad, Auntie Dana, Dylan and Blake's house.
